DIRECTOR – MELISSA KENT
Melissa Kent is making her directorial debut with the short film BERNIE AND REBECCA. Until now she has made her career as a feature film editor. Her credits include indie fare: THE VIRGIN SUICIDES, CAPTIVE; dramas: THE AGE OF ADALINE, AMERICAN PASTORAL, THE VOW, THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2, CRAZY/BEAUTIFUL; and comedies: FOUR CHRISTMASES, JUST WRIGHT, SOMETHING NEW. Next up is TRAFFIK, a thriller starring Paula Patton.
She resides in Los Angeles with her husband, concept designer Scott Robertson.

WRITER – JOHN F. HARRIS
John is a screenwriter who has received numerous awards for his short and feature scripts from organizations such as the Page International Screenwriting Awards (Page), Hollywood Screenplay Contest and the Las Vegas Film Festival. His short screenplay, BERNIE AND REBECCA, won the Gold Award as Best Short Screenplay in the 2013 Page competition.
John was the Executive Producer for a short film, PLAYING THROUGH, which he also wrote. It screened at over a dozen film festivals including the Virginia Film Festival, Palm Beach International Film Festival, Bahamas International Film Festival and the Carmel Art & Film Festival, and received numerous writing awards.
John is a member of the Advisory Board for the Virginia Film Festival and serves on the screening committee.
John’s prior career includes serving as the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer for the Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm.
John currently serves on the Boards of several non-profits including the Boys and Girls Club of Central Virginia, as the Chairman of the Board of Managers of the University of Virginia Alumni Association, a Trustee of the Jefferson Trust, and the Charlottesville Tom Sox, a summer baseball league for college players.
John recently served on the board of Worldstrides, a global educational travel company owned by Carlyle, and is a board observer for Locus Health.
John is a graduate of the University of Virginia and is married to Amy Bowler Harris. They have two children, Caroline and James, and reside in Charlottesville, Virginia.
PRODUCER – MARY PAT BENTEL
Mary Pat is currently in post production on BEHOLD MY HEART, a drama starring Marisa Tomei, Timothy Olyphant and Mireille Enos as well as LOST IN AUSTIN, a dramedy starring Linda Cardellini, Craig Robinson and Kristen Schaal. Her last film AMATEUR NIGHT, a comedy starring Jason Biggs, Ashley Tisdale and Janet Montgomery, will be released theatrically this August.
She also produced THE MIDNIGHT SWIM, which won the Breakthrough Audience Award at AFI 2014 and was theatrically distributed by Candy Factory last July, and ANIMALS, which won a Special Jury Recognition Prize for Courage in Storytelling at SXSW 2014 and was released by Oscilloscope last May.
Prior to these films, Mary Pat produced GOODBYE WORLD, an apocalyptic comedy starring Adrian Grenier, Ben McKenzie, Kid Cudi, and Gaby Hoffmann, which Goldwyn Films and Phase 4 picked up for distribution out of LAFF in 2013. She has had two films premiere at the Sundance Film Festival – UNA HORA POR FAVORA starring Wilmer Valderrama and Michaela Watkins, written and directed by Jill Soloway in 2012, and THE LIE starring Joshua Leonard and Jess Weixler in 2011, which Screen Media distributed theatrically.
She is represented by Peter Trinh and Grant Derkac at ICM.
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY – NICOLE WHITAKER
Nicole Whitaker is a Director of Photography who works in both fiction and non-fiction films, television and commercials. Nicole’s B.F.A. from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts propelled her early career as a still photographer, and it is her love of the raw elements of light and camera that has inspired her work as a cinematographer for the last 20 years.
She has worked with Oscar-nominated directors Jason Reitman, Marshall Herskovitz, Brett Morgan, Jessica Sanders, Richard Robbins and Academy Award winning director Freida Mock.
She recently completed filming AMATEUR NIGHT starring Jason Biggs and Ashley Tisdale and directed by Lisa Addario and Joey Syracuse. A fun dramatic comedy about a soon-to-be-dad looking for a job, who ends up as a delivery man driving hookers around Los Angeles, the movie was picked up for distribution by Cinedigm and is slated for a theatrical in summer 2016.
Nicole also just completed filming the independent feature WRESTLING JERUSALEM, directed by Dylan Kusman and starring Aaron Davidman in a story about the conflict between Palestine and Israel.
She is currently in pre-production on two independent films, AMERICAN WHORE starring Dane Cooke, Taryn Manning and Drea Di Matteo, about the porn industry during the late 70’s in New York City; and HIDING HECTOR starring Anna Farris and directed by Lisa Adario and Joey Syracuse. The story is about a dictator who flees his country to live with his teenage pen pal in California.
In between shooting movies and documentaries Nicole enjoys shooting spots for Apple, Nike, Pepsi, Toyota, Target, Sony and Honda.
COMPOSER – DAVID CARBONARA
David Carbonara is best known as composer of the critically acclaimed series MAD MEN, winner of multiple awards including four consecutive Emmy’s® for Outstanding Drama Series. Carbonara’s mix of contemporary score and period jazz inspired many “Mad Men” soundtracks. In that same vein he recently produced and composed songs for the upcoming Amazon pilot, THE LAST TYCOON, written and directed by Billy Ray, based on the unfinished, final novel of F. Scott Fitzgerald.
This spring will bring the release of Carbonara's latest film score for THE CONGRESSMAN, an independent political drama starring Treat Williams. Other films include: Matthew Weiner's ARE YOU HERE starring Owen Wilson and Zach Galifanikas, SOME GIRL(S) written by Neil LaBute with Emily Watson and Kristen Bell and Working Title's THE GURU starring Heather Graham and Marisa Tomei. Carbonara has also scored two French films for director Amos Kolleck: QUEENIE IN LOVE and FAST FOOD, FAST WOMAN (Cannes premiere). Additional film credits include David O. Russell's SPANKING THE MONKEY, and James Ryan's award-winning THE YOUNG GIRL AND THE MONSOON.
Other television projects include 2015's mini-series, THE SECRET LIFE OF MARILYN MONROE; the CBS series, VEGAS, starring Dennis Quaid and Michael Chicklis for producer James Mangold; and ELIZABETH STREET for executive producer Martin Scorsese. Carbonara has also composed music for theater, scoring productions at the Atlantic Theater Company and Playwright's Horizon in New York City and The American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge.
SOUND DESIGNER – CHRISTOPHER S. AUD
Christopher S. Aud is a re-recording mixer and sound designer for multiple award-winning feature films including MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, TRANSFORMERS, and BRAM STROKER'S DRACULA. From the time he was seven years old daydreaming about his brand new cassette recorder while playing baseball, he knew sound would play a major role in his life. This is his fifth collaboration with Melissa Kent, following the features JUST WRIGHT, THE AGE OF ADALINE, LOUDER THAN WORDS, and AMERICAN PASTORAL. He currently resides in Woodland Hills, California and enjoys being a husband and father with his wife and three children.

Meg Morman and Sunday "Sunny" Boling met in the Feature Casting office of 20th Century Fox, working on a variety of films, including ICE AGE, DUDE, WHERE’S MY CAR?, FROM HELL, ONE HOUR PHOTO, UNFAITHFUL, BEHIND ENEMY LINES and BIG MOMMA’S HOUSE. They opened their own shingle in late 2004.

DIGITAL INTERMEDIATE COLORIST – MAXINE GERVAIS
Gervais has worked on over 50 blockbusters and critically acclaimed feature films and has received 2 HPA nominations, one for her work on THE BOOK OF ELI and one for her work on Guillermo del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM. She is a frequent collaborator with Clint Eastwood -- color finishing his films JERSEY BOYS, Best Picture nominee AMERICAN SNIPER, and the upcoming SULLY starring Tom Hanks.
Gervais has always been passionate about creative expression with technology and color. She earned a B.A. in visual art from Laval University, the oldest center of education in Canada, and a post-graduate certificate in computer technology for cinema and television. One of her first DI jobs was working on HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE.
PRODUCTION DESIGNER – RANDY KIZER
Production Designer Randy Kizer’s past gigs include commercials for Samsung, Lenovo, and Coke; feature films with stars Kristen Bell, Kevin Sorbo, and Tony Hale; and an ongoing job running art direction for online content with Disney Interactive.
Before settling into his current role as Production Designer and owner of the Pirate Art Dept., Randy dabbled in various art department areas over the last five years. He has developed specialties in design, set construction, prop fabrication and hanging sheer curtains.
When he is not designing sets or swinging a hammer, Randy enjoys writing scripts and thinking about time travel until his brain hurts…and then he eats some pizza.
